Shawarma spice
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp coriander
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp cloves
- 1/2 tsp cardamom
Shawarma
- 1/2 kg top sirloin steak thinly sliced
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp shawarma spice
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 minced garlic cloves
- 1 tsp salt
Instructions
- Prepare shawarma spice and set aside. Store in a cool, dry place
- In a bowl, add all shawarma ingredients and marinate for 3 hours.
- In a heated skillet add marinated beef and stir occasionally until cooked through draining any excess liquid.
- On a pita add beef, tomatoes, pickled turnips and premade hummus. Wrap and enjoy warm.
