Description

Sweet and savoury flavours take any steak up a notch. This easy marinade is made with real Canadian maple syrup adding a touch of sweetness to savoury steak.


Ingredients

1/4 cup (60 mL) pure Canadian maple syrup

3 tbsp (45 mL) olive oil

2 tbsp (30 mL) balsamic vinegar

2 tbsp (30 mL) sodium-reduced soy sauce

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tbsp (15 mL) Dijon mustard


Instructions

In a medium bowl combine all marinade ingredients, and whisk until well combined. Reserve ¼ cup (60 mL) of marinade, and pour remaining into large marinade bag containing steaks. Gently massage for 1-2 minutes, then place bag and reserved marinade in refrigerator for 1+ hours. Remove steaks and grill until desired doneness is reached, all while basting with reserved marinade.
